CANDLES FOR AIDS

100,000 marchers carrying candles in support of AIDS research cause a fiery mosaic in front of the
White House in this 17 second exposure.

Some 850,000 to 950,000 Americans have the AIDS virus
and approximately 16,000 die from the disease each year.
